End of Season Award Results

Player of the Year

Alloa Athletic’s record breaking appearance holder bags the top honour with over 45% of the total votes. Kevin Cawley‘s 33 appearances this season saw him create the most goals of any player over the COVID-19 disrupted year. 5 strikes found the net while another 5 were set up by the Wasps’ talisman.

Kevin Cawley (blue) dominates the POTY voting.

Goal of the Season

Alan Trouten’s (blue) half way line effort paled in comparison to the Williamson’s rocket (yellow).

In another landslide contest, 18-year-old Lucas Williamson tied up the Goal of the Season award with his wonder strike into the top corner to give Alloa the lead against Ayr United. The strike somehow was beaten to the SPFL’s own goal of the month competition in March much to the dismay of anyone with eyes.

Young Player of the Year

In the only real battle for an award this year, just a 20 vote difference swung the competition in favour of Kilmarnock loanee Innes Cameron ahead of Williamson. The commanding striker looked more than his age of just 20 years as he battered the opposition and the back of the net 6 times in his 15 Alloa appearances looking like a seasoned professional on the way.

The two-horse race of Cameron (red) and Williamson (blue) swung wildly over the week of voting.
