Alloa Athletic Women have established a new committee to help drive the continued growth and development of the women’s team.
The new committee has been formed at an important point in the team’s journey, following the club’s first ever piece of silverware and with a clear ambition to build on that success.
The committee will look to continue the development of the team, create greater opportunities for players and strengthen the foundations of women’s football at Alloa Athletic.
The committee consists of Jamie Davis, Kevin Gallagher, Bill Anderson, June McLaughlin, Lynsey McGuigan and David Howatson.
The group will focus on helping create an environment where players can develop, local talent can progress and the women’s team can continue to grow as an important part of the Alloa Athletic family.
Kieren Mooney, General Manager of Alloa Athletic, said:
“This is an important moment for Alloa Athletic Women. We’ve taken a significant step forward by winning our first piece of silverware, but we don’t want to stand still.
“The creation of this committee gives us the structure and experience around the team to help us build on what we’ve achieved, support our players and create more opportunities for women and girls within the club.
“There is a lot of hard work ahead, but there is also a lot to be excited about. We want to build something that Alloa Athletic can be proud of, both now and for the future.”
The establishment of the committee represents another important step forward as Alloa Athletic Women look to build for the future, with the ambition to achieve continued success on the pitch while creating lasting opportunities off it.
