Squad Update

Alloa Athletic can today provide an update on the first-team playing squad following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Manager Andy Graham and his staff are already hard at work preparing for the upcoming campaign, and the club can confirm the current contract status of the squad below.


Retained Players

New Signing

We welcomed our first new addition to Recreation Park for the upcoming campaign:

Ross Stewart: The experienced 31-year-old goalkeeper joins the Wasps following his departure from Queen of the South. Bringing a wealth of experience from spells at Motherwell, Hearts, and Livingston.

Contract Offers Made

The club has extended contract offers for these players to remain at the Recreation Park:

  • Luke Watkins

Returning to Parent Clubs

The following players have completed their loan spells and will return to their respective parent clubs. We would like to express our sincere thanks to each of them for their efforts on the pitch this season and wish them the very best in their future careers:

Departing players

We can confirm that the following players will leave the club this summer. We are incredibly grateful for their immense efforts, professionalism, and dedication during their time with the Wasps, and we wish them every success in their next chapters:

  • Conor Sammon: A true icon of the game, Connor has decided to hang up his boots and retire from professional football. We thank him for all the goals and memories, and wish him a long, happy retirement.
  • David McKay: David departs following the conclusion of his contract. We thank him for his hard work and professionalism during his time with the Wasps.
  • Daniel Church: After battling through a season of serious injuries, Daniel will be leaving the club. We wish him a full and healthy recovery in whatever comes next.
  • Tochukwu Ogayi: ‘Big Phil’ is relocating permanently down to England ahead of the imminent birth of his first child. We send our warmest congratulations and best wishes to him and his family on their exciting new arrival.
  • Reece Mullen: Young midfielder Reece has moved on signing for Lowland League Caledonian Braves. We thank Reece for his hard work and development through our ranks and wish him all the best with his new club.
  • Andy Clarke: Andy balanced studying medicine and his football duties but will be leaving the club at the conclusion of his contract. We wish him well in his future endeavours after some memorable moments during the campaign.
