Alloa Athletic are pleased to announce the loan signing of forward Matthew Aitken from Stenhousemuir.
The twenty nine year old front man came through the youth ranks at St Johnstone, building a solid foundation in senior football with early spells at Cowdenbeath, Elgin City, Albion Rovers and Forfar Athletic.
Aitken joined Stenhousemuir in 2023 and went on to enjoy the finest form of his career. He played a starring role in leading the Warriors to the 2023/24 Scottish League Two title as the club’s top scorer with 14 goals, and after 2025/26’s successful playoff campaign the striker had chalked 15 goals for the season to ultimately bring his tally to 38 goals across more than 133 appearances for Stenhousemuir.
