The next Football Memories meeting will be on Monday May 11 at the Hive, from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
The guest speaker on this occasion will be former Alloa Athletic manager Tom Hendrie, along with a return visit from Jon Attenborough and his new guide dog, Harry.
Established in 2009, Football Memories Scotland is a national partnership between the Scottish Football Museum and Alzheimer Scotland which supports hundreds of reminiscence groups across the country.
Tom Hendrie joined The Wasps in 1996 and will remembered fondly for his Third Division Championship victory during his time at the club.
The other guest is Jon Attenborough, being partially sighted Jon walked with the aim of his 8-year-old Guide Dog, Sam, before sadly Sam died totally unexpectedly. “Following Sam” Jon’s book covering their journey around every SPFL ground, came out on 1st May 2025. It’s the story of how Jon and Sam completed their extraordinary journey visiting the 42 SPFL grounds but also now the book has become Sam’s life story, starting from when they were first matched together.”
Please come along for what is promised to be a fantastic afternoon of reminiscing and socialising.
