Alloa Athletic Women begin their SWFL Central/West League at the Indodrill Stadium this Sunday against Bishopton Ladies, 2pm KO. 

The team ended their League Cup campaign with a strong display against Central Ladies winning 6-1.

In their final preparations for the league opener, Allan Milne’s side triumphed over St Anthony’s 4-2 in a friendly on Tuesday evening.

Goals from Jenna Woods, Bailey Black and a trialist caught the eye as they fine tuned the final details before the opener. 

The Wasps boss expressed his excitement for the season ahead as he looks forward to Sunday’s fixture:

“The summer has been overall positive for the club. With new sponsorship and renewed ambition, we have maintained and strengthened the squad well. 

Sunday presents a really good opportunity for the team to start the season in good fashion and we are really excited for it.

The backing of the club and the supporters is invaluable, so we hope to see as many as possible there on Sunday.”

Back the girls as the embark on a new journey and look to start in the best possible fashion this weekend.
