Made Alloa Athletic debut against Stenhousemuir in 2-0 victory on 23rd January, 2010 from bench but had to wait until 9th March, 2010 to make full debut against Dumbarton in a match Alloa lost 3-1. However came on in next game against Stirling Albion and within five minutes had scored first competitive goal for Alloa Athletic against local rivals in a game "The Wasps" went on to win 3-0 in which David Gormley was hugely influential. Again on target against Stenhousemuir on 20th March pouncing to equalise before Bryan Prunty scored dramatic winner. David was also on target in Play off semi-final against Cowdenbeath at Central Park which ended 1-1. David scored his first goal of this season at Glebe Park against Brechin City in 3-1 defeat on 28th August, 2010.
