    Coaching Opportunities

    Sunday, August 18, 2013 12:09:34 PM

Alloa boss Paul Hartley is looking to expand the coaching team at Recreation Park by bringing in a further two qualified coaches to work within the Championship club’s expanding Youth Department.

Hartley, who is heavily involved alongside the club’s Head of Youth Development and Scouting Graeme Liveston, explained: “Our Youth set-up is up there with the best in the country and it is terrific news that it is expanding. We like to think that we are a benchmark for other clubs and we want to bring in coaches who can work to that high standard.

The club are looking for coaches to work with their under-13, under-14 and under-15 age groups and continue the production line of talent that Hartley has been glad to use in his first team.

On the day that Scotland play England at Wembley the former Scotland internationalist Hartley added: “I have used 11 players from the Youth set-up in my first team and that shows the quality of development that players get here. That development comes from quality coaches and now that we are expanding we need more quality coaches.

“We are looking for coaches that have a SFA Level 3 qualification and above but also as importantly have a desire for personal growth as well. Coaches will work alongside Graeme and I at Recreation Park in what we know is a really good environment to bring the next generation of players forward.”
