    Massive win

    Monday, April 11, 2011 5:41:29 PM

Nathan Taggart must scoreVictory for "The Wasps" on Saturday against Airdrie United was a massive win for the club and very much required to move the club away from the wrong end of the league table. Michael McGowan scored for his third succesive week, now having scored four goals in our last three matches, but this was a good team performance with all the players playing their part. Airdrie United had been on a purple patch of form going into the game winning their last four league matches but it was the home side who started the game better and should have been more than 1-0 ahead by half-time, ironically Airdrie United going down to ten men appeared to affect the Alloa team more than the visitors and as the game wore on Alloa looked to get more nervous. Jim Lister went close with a header which was well saved by Mark Ridgers before he headed over, but the best chance fell to substitute Nathan Taggart who missed when he had the best chance of the afternoon.
