    Four Goal Thriller

    27 December 2010 16:13:05

The recent effort by all at the club during this spell of winter weather which has postponned so many other football matches has to be commended, however the players and manager were more focused, to make sure the team performance was far better than the huge disappointment in our last home game against Airdrie United which ended in our first home defeat in the league this season. Stuart Noble opened the scoring against Livingston, now scoring in his last four matches for "The Wasps" it was fitting Stuart was to pick up the Man of the Match award. Michael Dunlop put "The Wasps" 2-0 ahead just on half-time, the team were determined to take something from this game, results can go against you, but the main thing was the much improved performance. In the second half Livingston came back strongly and played some great football, however Alloa did have a great chance to go 3-0 ahead before David Sinclair scored a brilliant free kick goal to bring Gary Bollan's side right back into the match. We've been guilty of giving away goals easily at times this season, but on this occassion Livingston scored two goals which were both well executed and credit must be given to their second half display. However the result of this game could have went either way and Noble, McGowan and Jim Lister all had great chances to win the game for "The Wasps", Tony Bullock blocking Lister's goalbound shot late in the game.
