    Clyde will make it difficult

    Saturday, March 06, 2010 4:02:06 AM

Manager Allan Maitland has added defenders Kevin Welsh and Marc McCafferty to the squad for the home game against Clyde after the pair recovered from the flu that kept them out of last weekend’s win over Peterhead. Scot Buist will sit this one out after not fully getting over his hamstring injury and, while it may be a top versus bottom clash, Recreation Park manager Allan Maitland is taking nothing for granted. He said, “Clyde have put together a squad full of good players and it is probably their lack of games that have hindered them recently. “There are first division players there on loan as well as striker Jon Stewart, who was in the SPL not too long ago.” Clyde have added to their pool by bringing in Partick Thistle defender Patrick Boyle on loan and extending Firhill striker Kris Doolan’s stay at the club by a further month. Missing for the Bully Wee will be experienced midfielder Marvyn Wilson through suspension and the injured quartet of goalkeeper Scott Findlay, defender Alan Lithgow and midfield youngsters Steven Howarth and Kevin Higgins. Tuesdays midweek game at Broadwood which was postponed has now been rescheduled for Wednesday 7th April, 2010 at 7.45pm.
