    Challenge Cup 2008-09

    “The Wasps” have been drawn against First Division side Dundee in the opening round of this season’s Challenge Cup. This is an exciting draw for the club and a game which is likely to produce goals, the last time the sides met in the competition was in the very first season when it was called the B&Q Cententary Cup at Recreation Park on 16th October, 1990, when the game ended 5-3 to Dundee, John Irvine scoring a double and Davie Wilcox on the scoresheet for Alloa.. Raith Rovers and Morton were the teams to receive byes as the opening round of the tournament is divided into North-East and South-West regions.
     
    All matches are scheduled for Saturday 26 July, 2008.
