The other speaker was John McKelvie who also did a fantastic job encouraging people to hand over their money for the many auction prizes which helped the club raise funds on the evening. John McKelvie returned after being so well received on his first Alloa Sportsman's Dinner back in 2010 and again didn't disappoint with his stories regarding his time with the Strathclyde Police which he served for 30 years and then to increase his popularity he joined the Lanarkshire Referees Association taking charge of the Scottish Amateur Cup Final.
Over the evening which included a "Spot the Team", "Heads & Tails", "The Auction", " Raffle" & "Star Raffle" the club are hoping to raise in the region of £ 6,000 from the event.
