    24 July 2018 11:46:26

Manager Jim Goodwin today signed Tunisian striker Ahmed Aloulou after he was given International clearance to join “The Wasps”. Twenty two year old Ahmed had played as a “trialist” in pre season matches against Berwick Rangers & Falkirk. Jim Goodwin said “ Ahmed is technically very good. Has decent pace and is good at linking the game up. I saw something in him during his trials and I am happy to be able to give him the opportunity to play senior football. He will add to our attacking options and will help create some healthy competition for places.”Ahmed had studied at University of Dundee before graduating and has represented Scotland at International level at futsal.

The Wasps are set to face Elgin City at Borough Briggs tonight in their third Betfred Cup Group A match, knowing a victory tonight would put them in a strong position in the group to qualify. However going into tonight's match at a ground "The Wasps" have never won a game in their two previous clashes with Elgin City at Borough Briggs - losing 5-0 on 1st October, 2011 & losing 3-0 on 18th February, 2012 under Paul Hartley. Tonight unfortunately both Iain Flannigan and Liam Dick will miss the match due to serving a one game suspension for an accumulation of bookings.
