    Deadline day transfers

    Wednesday, January 31, 2018 4:41:03 PM

Alloa Athletic completed their January transfer window, deadline day deals with the movement of striker, Craig Malcolm to East Kilbride, where he will join another ex Alloa Athletic striker Bryan Prunty at K Park, after manager Billy Stark signed him from Arbroath earlier in the month. Craig was at K Park last night and the paperwork was concluded today.

Alloa manager Jim Goodwin said  "Craig has left the club due to a lack of regular first team football. I was reluctant to accept Craig's request but after him explaining the personal reasons behind his decision I felt I couldn't stand in his way. We wish Craig well and have no doubt that he will be a huge success at East Kilbride, his local team. This move allows him to not only play regular football but more importantly for Craig, it allows him to see more of his young family. We have also agreed a deal with Dunfermline Athletic to get young Callum Smith on loan. He's a young centre forward who will strengthen us in that department especially with Craig leaving. Callum has made 18 appearances in the Championship this season and is highly thought of at Dunfermline and has already been capped at Scotland U19 level."
