    Frank McKeown signs

    Thursday, January 12, 2017 5:04:34 PM
Manager Jim Goodwin welcomed experienced defender Frank McKeown this evening to the Indodrill Stadium. Frank joined the club tonight and signed until the end of this season, subject to SFA completion and clearance which we would expect when they reopen in the morning.
Frank, who is aged 30, started his football as ayouth with Raith Rovers & Partick Thistle, before signing for Arthurlie in 2005. Frank is best known for his time with Stranraer where he made over 150 appearances. At the start of Season 2015/16, the firefighter was given the opportunity of full-time football, but in a cruel turn of fate, Frank played only ten minutes of football for Greenock Morton in cup tie against Elgin City before he was to suffer a knee ligament injury which saw him sidelined for six months. This season he returned to Stair Park where he made 18 appearances before his move to Alloa Athletic. Manager Jim Goodwin is continuing to work hard to add to his squad in a very difficult January transfer window and again confirmed he would only sign the right type of player for the club but was delighted that Frank McKeown has agreed to join the club and strenghen the squad for the second half of this season.
