    Wasps draw QOS in Quarter Final

    The draw for the Quarter-Final stages of The Irn-Bru Cup was made at the Titan Crane in Clydebank this afternoon. Alloa Athletic were drawn to play Queen of the South at Palmerston Park, Dumfries, the ties are due to be played the weekend of 12th/13th November, 2016.

    Queen of the South knocked out Northen Irish side Linfield on Sunday, winning 2-0 after extra time. Gavin Skelton's team are currently top of the SPFL Championship and have been installed favourites for this season's Irn-Bru Cup. This will be the first time "The Wasps" have met Queen of the South in the tournament since starting back in Season 1990/91. Alloa Athletic striker, Greig Spence now has extended his lead as top goalscorer for "The Wasps" in the Challenge Cup, his double at the weekend takes him to ten goals, his nearest challengers were Willie Irvine with seven and Barrie Moffat six.
