    Greig's on fire

    Thursday, July 14, 2016 6:11:14 PM
Greig Spence returned to Central Park, Cowdenbeath and it was no surprise he was on hand to score the winning goal. Striker, Greig Spence returned to Alloa Athletic in the close season for the 3rd time with still a point to prove, having been nominated last season for Division One Player of the Year, with Cowdenbeath. The home side took an early lead in the ninth minute through ex Hearts & Livingston striker, Gary Glen. The Wasps had good possesion but in the first half did not convert their opportunities into goals. However after the break, Kevin Cawley equalised just before the hour mark, before Greig Spence scored a deserved winner, however Craig McDowall had to pull off a superb save to deny the home side an equaliser late in the game.
