    Manager signs keeper

Manager Jack Ross this evening signed goalkeeper Neil Parry who he believes is one of the best part-time players in the game and he was one of the first targets the manager had on his sights. After signing Neil this evening Jack said “Once Scott Gallacher had indicated that he would like to try and return to full time football, signing a keeper became one of my main focuses. Scott’s intention when he came here was to get back playing football and put himself back in the shop window, he enjoyed his time so much at Alloa it put a doubt in his mind that he might just remain here, but his lure of getting back full time is understandable. I spoke to Neil prior to Scott making his final decision because I knew he had become available with Airdrie going full-time and his reputation in the part-time game is excellent from people involved in the game who speak highly of him, it is an important position to get right in the early days in developing your squad and it helped he was desperate to come here as well which is another huge factor.

I am also pleased to sign Lewis Wilson as well, although his game time was limited last year partly due to the league we were playing in and partly because of the size of our squad at times last season, we will probably have a tighter squad this season so it is important the players we bring in, I am happy they will be right for us competing at the right end of the league table next season and the players given more opportunities to develop their talents.”
