    Hibernian Preview

    Saturday, November 21, 2015 5:50:01 AM

It is easy to believe when things are going your way, but it takes a courageous man to look beyond his current circumstances and believe he has the fight to improve his position. The coaches, the players and myself all hold our hands up and acknowledge that we have had a poor league campaign so far. We are all disappointed and feel for all you loyal fans who have invested so much time, money and emotion into your club this season, with little much to cheer about. We see the challenge that is before us to stay in this highly competitive league for a record breaking fourth season in a row. We certainly believe we can do better than we have done so far this season. We believe we have the fight and the determination to give this all we’ve got to turn this situation around and pull ourselves back up the league. Is it possible to recover from such a bad start? You only have to look back to last season. Livingston were sitting bottom of the league with only eight points after twenty games. They rallied over the remaining sixteen games of the league campaign and finished above the play-off position. It certainly is possible for us to turn this around. We are completely aware that we need to improve our results. It is going to take a phenomenal amount of hard work and a great deal of courage to achieve that, but everyone at the club is committed to providing that. Rest assured, we deeply value your support and ask that you stand with us as we endeavor to turn our season around. Today, we welcome Alan Stubbs and his Hibs side to play for the prize of three very important Championship points. Hibs reached the Premiership play-offs last season and are currently second in the league table. Their ambitions this season are automatic promotion and their defeat of Rangers a few weeks ago show that they are serious contenders. We will have to be at our very best to take a positive result from today’s game, but that is exactly our aim. With your help as our 12th man, let’s make our home advantage count. Get right behind the team, encourage our boys at every opportunity and enjoy the game.
