    Wasps out of luck

    Sunday, March 30, 2014 3:12:16 PM

"The Wasps" started this game brightly, looking to take the game to Raith Rovers and pick up more vital league points as the season is now in the last quarter with victories now more important than displays. Liam Caddis returned to the starting line up and had first chance for "The Wasps" but his volley went over the bar. However the best chance fell to Darren Young, from a Ryan McCord corner Darren's header was blocked on the line and then he struck the rebound off the crossbar. Later in the half Andy Kirk appeared to be fouled in the box, but no decision was forthcoming. The first goal was always going to be important in such games, and Raith Rovers came out in the second half fired up after "The Wasps" had the better of the first half. Three minutes into the second half Liam Lindsay fouled Grant Anderson after the Raith rovers player had been given far too much space on the ball. Callum Booth, on a season long loan from Hibernian struck a wonderful lefrt footed effort over the wall and into the top right hand corner of the net leaving Scott Bain static. Alloa had once again paid the penalty for not taking their chances when presented to them - We now have five games left to secure enough points to stay away from relegation play off spot, starting next Saturday at Dumbarton - lets get behind the team.
