Very happy with the boys performance, they did great, it was just a squad put together on the night, a lot of them have never played together, there was a lot of pleasing things, a great exercise for the boys hopefully they win learn from the experience. Credit has to go to Graeme Liveston who has brought these young players to the club, I was pleased with their effort, their attitude was brilliant, some of the football at times was good, they were unfortunate not to get a goal but on saying that our goalkeeper, Craig McDowall had a great game as well. All the way through our system we are trying to play football, from the 1st team through to the young kids we try to get them to play football, pass the ball and show a real willingness and enthusiasm and that was certainly evident tonight, I was proud of them. There was some outstanding displays, young 14 year old Andrew Ward who won “Man of the Match” award, Conor Kelly at right back, Nicky Locke who has been out due to illness came back into team, young Steven Smith who looks to be a top prospect, Noel up front was only 16, Ryan Millar looked dangerous but it was always about the performance not the result which was important tonight.
